I haven't written in a while and I was reminded the other day how much I've missed blogging.
Someone on the bus, who I hadn't seen since school, randomly said "Hey, you write a blog don't you? I saw it on Facebook a while ago... It was good" and it really touched me. To think people actually bothered to read it and importantly enjoyed it, is really nice (so if you're reading, thanks James!).
Like everyone I'm sure, life's so busy at the moment with Christmas so close (Ahhhhh is it really only 9 days?!?!). I feel quite organised, but I'm that person who properly has some sort of wrapping disorder, where by the question "would a bow really make any difference to the aesthetics here?", is a constant thought.
But hey, no one became friends with me for my pro-like wrapping skills did they? :D
It's also so busy, as I've been accepted to start another A Level after Christmas, English Language and so obviously in-between the absolute compulsory nights out to celebrate Christmas (c'mon being 18 n' all) there's quite a bit of catching up to do. Although, having to take a lot of time out due to illness, I'm just so pleased to finally get the Chance to do it!
Anyway, getting back to music, I seem to be listening to the amazing 'Mumford and Sons' loads this week. In case they've been missed off your radar, they're a indie/folk rock band that formed in London in 2007 and consist of: Marcus Mumford, Winston Marshall, Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane.
I think the thing I most love about them, is the Irish folk influences you can so clearly hear in all of their songs. It's so good!
I was lucky enough to hit Temple Bar in Dublin last year and it's got the sort of warm, friendly, spit-and-sawdust, type of live music that I love and this is what I think of when I listen to 'I Will Wait'.
It was the lead single of the second studio album they released, 'Babel' and according to Wikipedia (where would we be without it?), it sold 153,000 copies in the first week of release in the US.
Take care, have a good Christmas and as always, cheers for reading :)
Molly x
