Is it just me or has the world gone mad on Christmas? (Major 'scrooge' debate)

Hiya!

Hope you're good? :)

I find myself functioning early and so thought I'd write about something that gets me thinking, right now that being, Christmas. But not 'thinking' in the way of OH MY GOODNESS I CAN'T WAIT, more of 'Wait.. what? it's nearly December?!'.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm a hugeeeee Christmas lover. I love the funny little traditions we all have; The practical law that you must have new pyjamas on Christmas Eve, The strange annoyance of your Dad pointing a camera at you through like all of your presents, the food, the company, the absolute fluttery feeling of excitement of coming in after seeing friends on Christmas Eve, enough music from the likes of The Pogues, Lennon and Bowie that you wish it was the 'norm' to play them all year. You know... Basically everything.
But.
It's too early to start celebrating yet isn't it?
I mean each to their own and it's just my personal view - but C'mon, I'm just getting over bonfire night!
I've already seen Christmas decs up in some households and have you noticed the special Christmas channels on your radio??
It came to my attention how fast people are taking up their festive vibes yesterday, when I walked in Costa to a Christmas song. It completely threw me, I almost felt I was obliged to order that hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows ;). But seriously, I'm not down with this, from the first of December I'm your girl - with the Christmas themed nails to prove it (yes, I'm that sad), but alas, for the moment the only thing I'm celebrating is Autumn - It's so beautiful!
Actually, the only down side to this late' Christmas celebrator' ethic is that I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet! :////
Oh dear... Perhaps I should convert,
"MUM GET THE TINSEL!!!!" ;D

Have a good day and if any early Christmas celebrators read this, ignore me, do whatever makes you happy! :D
love,
Molly x
