Newton Faulkner - Dream catch me

Hey,

Sorry it's another late one! I seem to be making a habit of late night music recently...
I think it's the only time I feel I can chill at the moment, but seen as college officially ended for summer today I hope that's not the case for much longer. I love being busy but having a condition that means I get extremely fatigued, makes juggling studying and socialising incredibly difficult at times. I think that's why I love music so much, it gets me when it's hard for many others to empathise or maybe it's because it can be there even when I feel too tired for conversations. I'm afraid today's been one of them days and have felt quite rough, normally I can just about acknowledge the fact I have good and bad days, but it's come at a particularly bad time as it meant I didn't feel up to my friends' birthday gathering tonight. I would've loved to have been there but hope you all had a lovely lovely time if you're reading!!
Anyway, listening to this song,  took me back to being young and well and at a time when (soppy alert) I didn't take anything for granted and appreciated everything. Since this absolute appreciation has arised again since struggling with my health, I really relate to it tonight and so I thought I'd give it a cheeky post ;) why not ey?

I think it's one of the most beautiful songs ever and I haven't heard it for many years. I didn't even know of the artist, though I now know it's an extremely talented musician called Newton Faulkner. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did, because really, everyone has ups and downs and there's always someone worse off and that's what this song reminds me of! I'm very grateful for all the wonderful support and love I receive off absolutely amazing family and friends and I think love makes everything alright in the end.
Have a good night,

Counting sheep is out :(

Hey,

Right now I really can't sleep and it's amazing how hard it is to actually count sheep :D. I feel like I've got about a zillion different thoughts buzzing around and most of which aren't even relevant, do you ever get that?!
The last few days have been hectic, woth Uni visits and finishing of the AS year and beginning to think of A2, my brain is both muddled and over active and I just want a rest now if I'm honest. I'm not even sure why I've chosen to blog this, but sometimes by writing, all the muddle is set down and suddenly it's easier to sleep. Worth a shot ey? :D
My chosen song for the day is one I heard in a lovely cafe/bar that's just opened up where I live. It was 'America' by Razorlight and it's one of those songs that reminds me of car journey's with my Mum when  I was younger, as we must've played it lots. I was in the bar (having the best burger and red velvet cake I've probably ever eaten- not simultaneously of course) and me and my bestie started singing it as soon as the tune became perceptible. It's a classic in my (maybe perhaps sheltered - but so what?) opinion :D.
I've picked the live version from Razorlight's performance on 'Later with Jools Holland' back in 2011, as I think it's one of the clearest but I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed going out. As I haven't seen my bestie for a catch up in too long and his birthday's on Friday, I needed to do the pressie-swapping shananagon. Although carrying a breakable object around my college all day wasn't the most relaxing thing, it was definitely worth it and I just hope he likes it!

As always thank you very much to anyone who reads my posts, it means an awful lot. I think I can count sheep now :D
Night night,

NEW ARCTIC MONKEYS COVER?! (Or rather one that I just haven't seen before)

Hey!

Hope you're ok? It's been such a nice day today, know the temperature in my Mum's car was 24•c at one point, feel like summer's finally here!
I thought I'd post as in amongst revising and looking for music to keep me company, I came across this cover of The Beatles 'Come Together' by no other than The Arctic Monkeys :D.
If you know me, you'll know that I love The Beatles and The Arctic Monkeys so this is a proper Gem :D. Apparently this cover was for the opening of the Olympic Games 2012, so I don't know how I've missed it, but love stumbling across things :)

Have a good evening,
Molly xx
